I've always seemed to strive to be different. I don't enjoy being "like everyone else". I think of it as a compliment to be called crazy. I say whatever comes to mind and you can find yourself rolling on the floor with laughter by some of my comments. My favorite line is: "I'm not weird, I'm fun". I love racing!!! I like culture, other cultures. I like latin and asian cultures. I spent a year in Korea and loved it. I like eating exotic foods and trying new things. I'll try practically anything twice. I love racing, practically anything on wheels. I love acting; action, drama, comedy, film and television. I'm faithful, but I think people give me more credit than i deserve. I like philosophical topics to discuss. I'm a HUGE thinker, I analyze everything. So, in doing so, I like to talk, and I talk a lot. I like to read non-fiction books, with strong interest in biblical, religion, history and social books. I like to dance...latin dancing is awesome. Did I mention I love racing...Drift rulez!
I'm on MySpace to network and make new friends.HOWEVER:
If I could physically meet anyone, besides God, Jesus and Paul of Tarsus, I'd like to meet my favorite actor; Johnny Depp...wow, what a talent. My favorite actresses; Meryl Streep and Angela Bassett. Two amazingly talented women. My favorite celebrity crush; Paul Walker (Fast and the Furious Hottie)...he is the most down to earth guy in Hollywood; however I just saw Tokyo drift and Han (played by Sung Kang) is also gorgeous and plays the coolest guy in that movie. The creator/writer of The Boondocks; Aaron McGruder...I'd just want to talk to him, he's got great views on practically everything (my mom wants me to marry him; mothers, I tell ya). If I could go back in time, I'd like to meet the greatest voice ever (in my opinion); Sam Cooke. I'd like to meet my grandfather's mother, i was told he was adopted and his mother ran off to be an actress somewhere. I'd love to know her name, I have a feeling I am a lot like her.
I believe in talented musicians and lyricists who come up into their own and truly express themselves through their gift. I believe in a time when music was powerful. When it inspired and sent messages. When an artists words could start a revolution or a baby boom. Good music, what happened to you? The greatest, most talented and most amazing voice ever came from a man we all know so well, Sam Cooke. A change is gonna come, my friend...
The best movie I have seen in a long time was played at CineVegas Film Festival, an independent film by Director Max Makowski entitled: "ONE LAST DANCE" It got 2 thumbs up from me. It's a foreign film from Singapore. Then it would be Gladiator. Next favorites: The Passion of the Christ, the Goonies, Finding Nemo, Troy, Dreamgirls. Since I love cars...LOVE racing, the Fast and the Furious series are the bomb. Toyko Drift was awesome.
BSG..Battlestar Galactica!! Any Law and Order, SUV; CSI Las Vegas; The Boondocks; all respectively...
The Bible. I enjoy anything discussing any parts of any religion and theology, philosophical or social. Also, anything that helps to improve my skills in acting. I like to learn about the different techniques or approaches to acting...now all I have to do is apply what I've learned. Living in Las Vegas and being in the Air Force didn't get me much exposure or experience so I had to learn somehow.
My heros...My Lord and my God, Jesus Christ. Paul of Tarsus, an amazing leader and bondservant. My Mom and Dad. Every military member who is serving or who has served. I salute you, thank you for your service. Halle Barry for knocking the door down for black women to play roles in mainstream films. God's Linebacker, Ray Lewis, for being an inspiration and motivator, providing opportunities to the unfortunate. I one day hope to have as big a heart as yours. Gloria Mayfield-Banks for being a pioneer black National Sales Director in Mary Kay Cosmetics. The everyday heros that get no love or credit...the aspiring entertainers and artists of all talents, the film-makers struggling to get a film made, nurses and teachers, fast food workers, custodians and janitors, late night workers. Anyone who does a job that many may feel they are "above" doing or something they wouldn't want to do...BRAVO to you. Most of all, every slave, of any race, who died coming to this country or who was enslaved here in America. They paid a huge price against their will in order for all of us now to have the life and rights we have today. Appreciate your gift, America. The chains are off THEIR wrists, now take the chains off YOUR mind.
