About Me

The Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign was set up in 2001 by a group of established Irish human rights and community activists, academics and journalists who were deeply concerned with the current situation in the Occupied Territories of Palestine. In partnership with Palestinians now living in Ireland, the IPSC was formed to provide a voice for Palestine in Ireland. We are an independent, non-party political organisation, run by volunteers committed to a just and sustainable peace in the Middle East.
1967-2007 - 40 YEARS OF OCCUPATION*
This June will see the 40th anniversary of the illegal Israeli occupation of the West Bank/East Jerusalem, Gaza Strip and Golan Heights. In that time thousands of Palestinians have been killed (over 4000 in the last 7 years alone - 927 of them children), over 500,000 have been imprisoned and many tortured (10,000 are currently in Israeli jails), and countless homes have been demolished by the Israeli state (over 4000 since the year 2000). On June 9th the IPSC will be holding a major demonstration in Dublin to protest the ongoing brutalisation of the Palestinian people
YOUR HELP IS NEEDED!
In addition to attending the June 9th protest there are other ways of getting involved directly or indirectly. The IPSC is always on the lookout for new volunteers/members to help existing local groups, or for people to set up new branches in their own areas. See here for details.
We are also supporter-funded, so all donations are gratefully accepted either on stalls or via direct debit etc (for more info see here or phone our National Office on 01-6770253).
