At an early age Khalid Rivera had a proficiently for the arts. He has performed on Broadway including JUAN DARIEN and THE CAPEMAN and has appeared in a number of motion pictures, Including the upcoming Troma Film Poultrygeist and D 4 Delivery. Sharing the same philosophy of bringing unique and fresh music to those who want to listen. He's had lots of success on MTVLOGO, Music Nation and debuted on BPMTV Canada. Dance music has a new set of vocal chords. After the frigid and mechanical textures of electroclash in the earlier part of this decade, Khalid Rivera reverts back to the sounds of Ibiza and Mancester s Haçienda club that defined House music, without being archaic. His first single Every Nite, has keyboard lines and drum machine back-beats that echo New Order s and the Pet Shop Boys hits from the late 80s and vocals that mirror David Gahans, if the Depeche Mode frontman were a counter tenor. Approaching the music scene as a precocious performer, He appeared in Broadway shows, including Paul Simons The Capeman (1998) and Juan Darien (1996). For his acting and dancing training, he attended the Professional Performing Arts School, where he performed for Duke Ellington s 100th Birthday Celebration at Carnegie Hall. Since being on Bluleaf Recordings in 2006, he has participated in Smokey Joe s Café Featured European Tour and will appear in the Troma Films feature Poultrygeist. Calling Rivera a potential pop star masks his full abilities as a performer. To the music scene, he is a Triple Threat with his soaring voice and dance and acting skills. Most singers only have two of these qualities at best and few possess the set of pipes Rivera has. Khalid has already made an impact with his first single Every Nite.
