Taunya Laya is now in the Miami area with students carrying on the work in NYC!!!! Sao Paulo, Brazil was the healing focus at the Pax Center for April 2008. The healing y Amor was fabuloso!!!! Taunya Laya loves to travel and share her sound healing meditation and treatments with everyone.She is the Founding Director of My Second Breath, Inc. and has been practicing and developing sound vibration healing music and techniques with Himalayan Singing Bowls since 1993. She holds a Masters of Science in Education and is a member of the Sound Healers Association. Taunya Laya has worked with individuals and groups from many walks of life: from the ex-offender, ex-addict, and the homeless; to the socially accepted highly educated executives, and the everyday average working world. She has presented sessions to the HIV gay population, job training programs, daycare staff, GED classes for writing and test taking skills, women’s interest groups, male involvement groups, singers, rappers, actors, writers, entrepreneurs, and everyone at free early morning sessions in New York’s Central Park West. Now in Miami...who knows where she will show up!!!!!She has held private sessions for the up coming Sony Epic hip hop group The D.E.Y. and is viewed on MTV Tr3s, Tu Pride in a real live session with her talented daughter Élan of The D.E.Y.Taunya Laya was born into a family of natural teachers, musicians, and healers of Native American and African American decent. She studied with one of “The” Masters in Sacred Sound and Shamanic Studies, Mitch Nur, PhD, which earned Taunya the Singing Bowl Master Level III Certificate of Accomplishment. She creates inspired harmonic patterns with a mantra-like chanting effect, which is filled with her intentions for personal healing. She uses the gift of her mellow voice tones to guide the breath; thus releasing the tension in the body for effortless relaxation and meditation.Taunya conducts retreats and workshops for Sound Healing and Private Vibration Treatment Sessions including discussion groups and private consultation. Her My Second Breath Sound Healing Vibration Retreats in Jamaica, W.I. are a revival of life.
