KATO TYRRELL.

-Born in london to jamaican parents, I started at an early age after being thrusted in front of the microphone By my farther who at the time was producing reggea music. After this short sharp shock and some years later I created my first band with Taka Hirose, bass player for the well known UK band Feeder. This was short lived. Having no real experince in leading a band & with differences in style & direction the band soon split. Taka joined Feeder and the percusionist, Wendell, leaving to work for Peter Cooner of Deeream "Things can only get better". Soon after I met Matt, lead guitar & Pat Atkinson rhythm guitar & formed the group Naked. Later to be known as Amour and Psyche. Headlining at the Mean fiddler, Sub club, Cobden club and many others. Three years later after several interested parties but still no deal the band split. Pat and I moved to Paris were Pat formed his own band, Technicolor Hobo and I ? Well I kicked back and enjoyed doing very little for a while. Though living in paris I still had my links in London & soon started giging with a UK based band, Life's Addiction first as backing vocalist and not long after taking the role of lead. The Band was eventualy signed by london Records but politics read it's ugly head & I chose this moment to go my own way forming the band kat0 in Paris. Headlining in such places as Le MCM Café, Le Divan Du Monde and jazz venues such as Le Baiser Salé. Performances were packed with energy, dropping hard rock guitars, grooving bass lines, soulful vocals and a horn section resembling the JB's. I also presented a club night known as The Open show, were various bands, dancers etc would preform and where some members of my band would act as resident band. But all that has passed and the new project is RISING. The project will be co written, produced and recorded by various artists from around the globe.
