_______________Technicolor Hobo’s music is a mixture of different colours, shades and textures floating in a universe with no fixed abode. The band consists of four French, one English and one American all from different musical scopes adding their touch to form a sound that takes you on an adventure through different atmospheres, melodies and emotions. The music swings in a million directions, an audio landscape, enticing you with its hypnotic warm and melancholic melodies and cinematic impressions enabling the listener to imagine and create their own form of visuals and therefore adding an interactive element to this musical experience. The voice with it's warm poetical intimacy confides in the listener and opens you to a world that isn't always easy to live in but leaving you with a feeling of hope and optimism.
You want to dance or just sit with your eyes closed in a world of your own, then all options are possible and pleasurable when listening to Technicolor Hobo.Technicolor Hobo mix many musical influences and the sound of the band is not premeditated or planned. It is very natural and spontaneous. They don’t try to copy anyone and have always avoided being labelled or categorised and feel comfortable with not finding a home in any ‘movement’ or ‘gendre’. An album "Anthems for the lost" has just been completed is now available on the net & in certain shops from the 1st of November. The band are booking dates at this very moment so keep checking this blog to see if they play in your town.A little bit of history: Patrick Atkinson who instigated this project originates from swinging London & played there with many bands: The Expressway, the band of ex Jesus & Mary Chain member John Moore and then PS Explosion, Honey Rider, Fly and Naked until he left London to live in Paris where Technicolor hobo began to take shape. Now he lives in Marseilles where most of the band members are. May this journey continue...
