Momsclub

To the real gourmets of housemusic, Momsclub from the “city” of Leopoldsburg does not need a big introduction. Since the foundation of this party-collective in 2000, it’s fair to say its house-gigs have acquired a solid reputation in Belgium. The Momsclub venues always offer a unique and jollyful atmosphere, as does the sound from the turntables, dished up by momma’s guests and its resident dj’s. Currently, Momsclub numbers 4 resident jockeys: the deepmasta “Dan D”, hot and steamy “Luvs”, Master at “Praktis” and, recently welcomed, Ace of Spades “Rutz”. Playlists include tracks ranging from loungy, funky and US-feelgoodhouse to the deeper stuff with a techy touch. Soulful and jazzy vocal tunes alternate with the more hip hop- influenced house. And that’s just the menue. Momsclub has been offered the opportunity to host a monthly concept-night at the renewed balcony of Café d’Anvers. We intend to bring funky house to the “Metropolis” and we’ll be doing that, together with our friends, as from fall 2007.Those greedy gourmets who have never tasted our delicious main dish and would like an appetizer for a start, please stir your way thru myspace!
