Years ago, Alex Benitez and Danny Kaufman began playing music together. One day, while Alex was at a very credible learning institution called Foothill College, he met a girl named Nicole Escobedo. Soon after that, they started playing music together as well. By this time, Alex had began to write songs and show them to his good friend Jordan Schwarz (of NVS, The Samsara Project, and Albert Toast). A few moons later Alex, Danny, Nicole, and Jordan decided to start a band. They were called Noisy Gum. Noisy Gum only played together for a short while, for Jordan had to say goodbye. The other members still love him anyway. It seemed like now things would come to an end, but Alex, Danny, and Nicole still played music together. Simultaniously, Danny and Alex began recording songs together, playing all the instruments themselves. These were the beginings of what is today known as The Mechanical Snails. At this point Albert Toast and the Mechanical Snails, as they were then called, stumbled upon a young English guitar player by the name of George Adams. They asked George if he would play his guitar with them and he agreed! To make their name easier to remember, they band shortened theyre name to The Mechanical Snails.
