About Me

I'm David Pearce - a musician that plays both tenor and bass trombone. I graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester the summer of 2006 with a BMus (Hons) degree.I work all around the United Kingdom mainly playing jazz and big band, and I'm a member of the Debbie Curtis Radio Big Band as well as bass trombonist with the wonderful Nick Ross Orchestra playing the sounds of the Glenn Miller Era with star vocalists Alice Coulam and Matt Ford.As well as playing with various professional big bands around the UK, I am also the Musical-Director of my own big band - The Dave Pearce Orchestra. For more information on the band, please visit the website: www.davepearceorchestra.co.ukAs well as leading my own big band, I have had the priveledge of playing with various big bands around the UK, including The Glenn Miller Orchestra UK, The John Miller Orchestra, The Herb Miller Orchestra, The Swing Shift Big Band (directed by trombonist Lee Hallam), The Squadronairs Dance Orchestra, The Memphis Belle Orchestra, The Nelson Riddle Tribute Orchestra and the Kings of Swing. My highlights include working with West-End singers on The Rat Pack Live from Las Vegas show.During my student days at the RNCM, I had the pleasure of working alongside Jiggs Whigham, Don Lusher, OBE, Julien Joseph, Steve Waterman, Anita Wardell, Pete Wraight and Matthew Herbert to name a few, with the RNCM Big Band under the direction of Mike Hall. Johnson, Bill Watrous, Frank Rosolino...singers such as: Diana Krall, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra...the list goes on!
