I was born at Southlands Hospital in Shoreham, my early years were spent living in the old vilage, Portslade, with my parents. We moved to Eridge when I was 7 and then finaly moved to Hailsham in Sussex when I was about 10, I still live there now. Life started (socially) for me when we stayed at Butlins, I was 14. I met a guy who swore his dad taught John Travolta to dance for the movie Saturday Night Fever. Anyway he taught me a few steps and I discovered that I could dance. I later found out that the lad's dad was a London Cabbie! Anyway came home and started to go out more with my new found confidence. Discovered Gary Numan, Robotics, Body popping and breakdance. Started busking in Brighton, doing robotics outside Miss Selfridges, was a good way to spend a saturday, the adulation luvvy. Took up Aikido, then Karate, finaly joined an American football team. My playing career was cut short (literaly) when I cut my thumb off, found it hard to catch the ball! Anyway all through this listened to Gary's Music, bought just about every 7", 12", picture disc, album, tape, you name it, that he bought out. Made some good friends during all that time, most of them I've lost track of! Did a brief spell as a tour manager in the early 90's, quite an amazing 2 years, had some fun, definately caught the touring bug and then decided to give it all up just as I was offered to tour with Jean Michele Jarre in South America, My family ment too much to me to leave them at home. When I look back I wonder what might have been but on the whole I'm not dissapointed. My life took a dive in 99 when my then wife told me she didn't love me anymore, we talked and I thought we had sorted it out, however 2 yrs later we split up and I felt like my life was over. I decided to get on with life and not look back, even though it hurt, at times tremendiously. It really helped to have a helping hand through the bad times and I found Shirley (my rock), she picked me up and helped me to smile again. I went through that mad patch that many people seem to go through where they change their image. By then my new girlfriend (Shirley) dyed my hair black and red a'la Telekon days. It got quite a reaction at work! I took Shirley to see Gary at Shepherds Bush Empire shortly after that. She loved the gig, wanted Gary and got extremely pissed. It was her first gig ever, she didn't even know who Gary was before that. Anyway 5 years later we married and we played Gary's music at our wedding........
