Influences:
My Wife, Jesus, Pastor Dick, Buckethead, Thin Lizzy, Dimebag, Nickelback, 3 Doors Down, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Joe Bonamassa (my favorite player right now), Golden Earring, The Police, Al Di Meola, Prince, Steve Stevens, Monte Montgomery, John5, Zakk Wylde, The Counting Crows, The Stones, about any and everything 80's, Angus Young (the reason I picked up a guitar), The Black Crowes, Skynyrd, George Jones, Bryan Sutton, Jesco White, Michael Dean Damron, Cash, Shawn Mullins, Tony Rice, Yngwie Malmsteen, Russ Freeman, Bill Monroe, Jimi Hendrix, 16 Horsepower, just to name a few. I think the fusing of all these various influences can be heard in one way or another in the music I play.
I am a true believer in that it's not so much what you know but rather what you are listening to that shapes and comes out of you as an artist.
Here is a fine example of just that. On the way back home from a Buckethead concert I was listening to Ralph Stanley, The Del McCoury Band, and some Tony Rice. When I got home I picked up my guitar and this is what came out. Check out the video below... I call it Trucker Metal....!
