Cross The Line - 2005

About Me

"Cross the Line" is assured success upon release thanks to the song "The Universe" - track 8 on the album which has already seen millions of downloads online. It has also nabbed exposure via television in Europe. "The Universe" is the hook to bring more listeners who've heard the song and want to experience more of Poptamas' music. For this songwriter, music is a means of escape, a method of getting away from life's troubles for a while. "When I hear a music or sing it I just forget about all the bad things in this world", says Poptamas. He also sees music as a way of finding self. "Hearing or writing a new song makes me feel like I suddenly fall from another planet into a place that I actually belong to". "Cross the Line" deals with such classic themes as love and simple but important things like finding the pleasure in life. However, Poptamas notes that he is by no means creatively limited to these ideas; his songwriting doesn't wallow in the trite. "Even though on 'Cross the Line', my music is about love and enjoying life, I am not going to be restricted when it comes to writing everything that I feel is good and unique". Poptamas' good numbers on "The Universe" and his . success with "Cross the Line" won't be his first brush with success. He's won best voice awards a number of times and has already developed a regional following. In addition, he has seen his work hit No. 4 in the Eurovision Song Contest finals in Romania in 2006. His recent record deal points to more good tidings in future. Following wrap-up on work with "Cross the Line", Poptamas hits the road to tour and promote the new album. He is already at work on a new 15-song album, together with musicians from both Romania and the USA. "Anyway, 'Cross the Line' is an album I'm personally very satisfied with".
