About Me

I was born in a musical family. My parents sang along to the songs on the radio, mostly to the operas and musicals that was what was on back then. Along came Bill Haley. Up to this day I can hear how terrible they thought his “Rock Around The Clock” was and what an awful movie that came with it…”Blackboard Jungle”. My older brother, on the other hand, was thrilled and awed by it and soon became familiar with the family guitar. When Elvis became famous he was a mini me of Elvis and when rehearsing in his room with open windows, the kids were standing outside listening and cheering. Cool.
The 60ies - Bob Dylan, Donovan, Joan Baez and Buffy St Marie.,Procol Harum, Spencer Davies Group, Beatles, of course, and Rolling Stones. Beach Boys brought a new sense of harmonies. The Byrds, Flying Burrito Brothers, Moody Blues, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Steppenwolf, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Doors, The Who, The Hollies, The Animals, Lovin’ Spoonful, Simon and Garfunkel, Mamas & Papas, Leonard Cohen, The Walker Brothers, The Animals.... so many songs, so many lyrics and I remember so many still….This was the time I took up playing myself……when I could steal the guitar from my brother……..
The 70ies – added Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Marvin Gaye, Elton John, Jefferson Airplane, Kinks, Led Zeppelin, John Lennon, George Harrison, Paul McCartney and Wings, Bruce Springsteen, Rod Stewart…
The 80ies, I must confess passed in a blur…. All due to certain domestic and health issues and my music life became severely suppressed… I remember a lot of disco music though… and that didn’t really appeal to me that much. But sure, Dire Straits belong to the 80ies and they can't be forgotten.
It was in the 90ies, I reconnected to music again. The artists are pretty much the same today and I thank my kids for opening my eyes for a number of good musicians I probably wouldn’t have found without them. Most of all I finally came to understand why I love the Eagles so much. It is because of their phenomenal guitarist, DON FELDER, who brought his talent into the group way earlier, but back then I didn’t know who played what. Today I know and that’s why I list him as the # 1 on my list of great musicians, Guitar Gods. He definitely tops that list.
The introduction of music videos has opened my eyes for a different view of music, as well as myspace has for a lot of new music as well, and I am ever so happy for it.
It’s ALL about the MUSIC – because Music Is Emotion and where there is music there is no need for explanations.
MUSIC, MUSIC, MUSIC. What would life be without it?

Solos that speak for themselves.
