This my spcae really isn't about me, it is about me browsing music... so i will be breif. I am a Bruins Fan and therefore a lover of Hockey as my Canadian heritage dictates. I love my country. I am political and philsophical. Friends mean everything to me and I would give much if not everything for them. And my current passion in life has become music.
So I am going to turn who I would like to meet into my, who I like right now section. Originally a fan of straight up folk, folk rock and rock I grew up basically living off of Great Big Sea and the Barenaked ladies, which today are still two bands I never regret listening to. I then swung into a very short lived experimental phase where i listened to everything from Prozak to Linken park until finally I stumbled upon Frank Sinatra, probabley the number most influential artist for my taste in music. Along with Sinatra came Dean, Sammy, Nate, Crosby and all those lounge singers we still love today. Slowly my love of the 30's through 50's turned into the love of the 60's-70's when I stumbled upon the Canadian band Geuss Who which I had the leaisure to see live in concert. All the typical rocks bands of the era fell in line, The Doors, The Who, CCR, ACDC, Thin Lizzy, Led Zepplin, so on and sor forth until I literally swung into swing and the blues. When Chuck Berry, Colin James, Elvis, B.B. King and those legends became what I listned to. At the same time discover new modern lounge voices such as Michael Buble and Matt Dusk and the very operatic Josh Groban. After going through this long list of different favorites I started to get reminisant of bands of past envy, so I started listening to Great Big sea again when but I wanted something with some kick, then a friend came along and turned my attention to the Dropkick Murphys which also happened to be a rock supporter of the Boston Bruins, my favorite hockey team. Then Bad Religion and The Clash, the Ramones... Also sneaking in waht I think is really one of the best modern rock and roll bands, The Trews. So now here I am currently listening to what I geuss could mostly be described as punk, rock, and alt rock, as well as some of this crazy new experimental stuff. But not losing that timid taste for the low key musical wonders I stumble across Indie bands like Black Rebel motorcycle Club, and other melo"er" rock such as Peter, John and Bjorn. Left with no specific taste in anything I find my self constantly searching for something new to add to the list.
