Ten To Never

Anything less than everything is never enough.

About Me

Ten To Never are one of the best local bands seen in a long time... touching vocals and guitar playing that would make Matt Bellamy envious captivates the audience..." - Laura Williams, LOGO Magazine
"Every instrument was tightly in step with the sound and the lead vocal was really strong... the songs were well produced and musically Ten To Never are a very well polished act." - [the-mag].me.uk
"The band managed to project as much energy into this acoustic gig as they do when they play with electric guitars, and their complex and polished songs went down extremely well with the audience. On top of that, their sound is still pretty much impossible to categorise." - Lisa Wilmott, MrKyps.net
"Ten To Never went down a storm - rightly so, too. Intricate rhythms. Quirky time changes. Kind of Latin. Kind of rock. Kind of grunge. Definitely Ten To Never. Pretty unique these guys. The lead guitarist played bongos during one number, the guitar/vocalist a snare drum parked by his side on stage. Six or seven songs, mostly electric, a couple acoustic, but damn, those acoustic guitars thundered and ripped. The crowd loved them. Energetic. Gripping. Unusual." - Alan Burridge, chairman of Motorhead fanclub
"Pop rock/soft rock group Pocket Shotgun kept the audience moving and were a cheerful end to the night, but the highlight for me had to be Ten to Never. Describing yourself as alternative progressive rock with strong hints of jazz and grunge seems rather a tall order, but Ten to Never did not disappoint. Their incredible set blended powerful rock songs with many other influences (we even thought we heard a bit of funk at one point!), with the soaring Psychological Headache standing out in particular." - Lisa Wilmott, Levelled.co.uk
"Ten To Never start with an air of ambience, though its obvious its just a prelude to something far heavier. As the band launch into full volume two things are obvious. They sound fuckin great and so does the venue. Rock vocals, two heavy guitars, and equally weighty bass and drums, all crystal clear, possibly the best sound created at Rubber Soul.
Musically, Ten To Never draw influences primarily from the early seventies. Paul and Tims bass and drums sound fantastically fluent, groovy riffs and beats reminiscent of Blood, Sweat and Tears. Vocally, Romin and Jean-Paul are more mid-nineties US early grunge. The two influences mix superbly as neither are over the top, and the quality of the songs as well as the musicianship is extremely high. There are other influences here too, Tim and Paul are obviously jazz influenced with some of these songs breaking down into a bongo fuelled percussive jam, reminiscent of Santana. A decent sized crowd already feeling the heat show ample appreciation. Ten To Never almost seem to throw down the gauntlet to (next band) Toupe. Follow that!" - Tony Foster, BHOne.com

Sounds Like: Some people have said some good things about our EP, do you believe them?

"Full of Pink Floyd-ian instrumental breaks and a grittier rock vocal that takes you to the Dark Side Of The Moon and back... the guitars crash like waves amid jangling effects which ensure that the sound is fat but not overwhelming – when Ten To Never think on an epic scale the results are rather compelling." 3.5/4 - Emily Slowlie, ManchesterMusic.Co.Uk

"Expansive, moody Smashing Pumpkins meet Pink Floyd/Porcupine Tree neo-prog dynamics"- Organ Magazine, Demos of the Week

"They're all good musicians, but what's most impressive is their dynamic as a group. Ten to never can do epic and wide-screen, but they can also do delicate and intimate, and, refreshingly, they have the confidence to preserve these contrasts in their recordings" - Sam Inglis, Sound on Sound Magazine, June

"A refreshing and unique listening experience. The four tracks on display here suggest that Ten To Never could be one to watch. If you’re willing to give the songs a little time to grow, you will ultimately be rewarded very highly indeed – an impressively eclectic EP which shows a great deal of potential." 9/10 MusicSpotlight.co.uk [read full review here]
