Awaiting the Apocalypse is a band rising from the suburban bowels of Roseville California. Bringing melodic riffs, razor sharp solos, in your face breakdowns, and a middle finger to those who defy them. Formed late in the summer of 2005 by Tyler Edwards(vocals) and Marcos Silva(rhythm guitar), the two had one vision in mind, to make the most brutal music possible that still had a groove that anyone could get into. With Derek Vyse on bass and Evil Jim Boots on drums, __________ on lead guitar, the vision of A.T.A. is becoming a reality. Since 2005, Awaiting the Apocalypse has been devastating stages ranging from Eureka to San Jose leaving nothing but smoldering ashes and a wake of new fans with each performance. Some of the venues left in ruin are The Boardwalk, Humboldt Brewery, 12 Galaxies of San Francisco, The Gaslighter, Shady Bradys, On The Y, The Field, The Kennel Club, The Underground, Club Retro and proud to be the first metal band to grace the stage of Hard Rock Cafe in Sacramento. Awaiting the Apocalypse was invited to compete in Your Music Magazine and 98 Rock's 1st and 2nd Annual Rock Wars. A.T.A. was also voted second best in the Bay Area via internet polls to move onto the Bodog Battle of the Bands. Now that A.T.A has a line up of four(we need a fifth) equally determind idividuals you can only expect great things to come.
