Run like an antelope, out of control!

About Me

Well, what can I say? Who doesn't love computers and all of the fun things they bring to your life....info, info, info, friends, gambling, games, nudity blah, blah, blah! Hey I met my wife on-line 7 years ago and we're pretty damn happy about it. Of course back then you had to tell people in hushed tones but times have changed. I have a wide array of interests, some sedintary some balls out active. I feel right at home with friends cooking a dinner party, opening good wine and playing some poker, Xbox or hitting the road for a few days of adventure. Love the outdoors and all that comes with it, living in Northern California really suits me. The long wet winters and a nice mild climate keeps me busy hunting for wild mushrooms from the Sierra Nevada mountains to the Mendocino coast pine forests. It helps that I'm a private chef that's cooked from NY to Italy for people like President Bill Clinton to the Dalai Lama so I've had some great exposure to people and the best food ingredients in the world.I love live music mostly the alt. country scene Wilco, Son Volt, Gillian Welch, Steve Earle etc. but sprinkle in a little Dead, Dylan and Big Band. We get a lot of great acts in SF and there are plenty of tiny venues to see them in so it works out well. So let's see, food, music, mushrooms, my wife Angela, the cat that found it's way into our house after 18 years and a real passion for 1930's advertising. Most notably 'beer cans'. Hey don't laugh the beer can was invented in 1935 and there aren't many of those old one's left but a few nice one's reside in my small collection. I'll sell it down someday on eBay and turn it into a downpayment for a small house in the Bay Area.

I'd like to meet:

Son Volt - Drown

Music:

I go through phases with music. Sometimes I can't get enough, especially live and at other times it's just a distraction. When I'm in the mood the genre is No Depression or Alt. Country or Americana or whatever label they're calling it this week. Satellite radio kicks it so hard I don't know how I lived without it! Howard Stern any time of the day is a gas. Jam On on Sirius and that Outlaw Country isn't bad. Shady 45 when I wanna hear 'bout bitches, hoes and 24" rims which isn't very often....but it's nice to know it's there.Son Volt, Wilco, UT, Whiskeytown/Ryan Adams and the Cardinals, Tres Chicas, Old 97's, The Gourds, Gillian Welch, Del McCoury Band, Steve Earle and the Dukes, Bob Dylan from the mid 70's, Johnny Cash, Tift Merritt, The Dead, Phish, Trey, Emmylou Harris, Neil Young, My Morning Jacket, Golden Smog, The Jayhawks.

Movies:

It's got to be Goodfellas on Christmas.... Godfathers I and II or Casino.Hey, WTF I'm Italian and was born in Jersey whattya want from me?!

Television:

I love sports but I'm not a rah-rah, face painting guy with jerseys and footballs everywhere, I actually hate that stuff. I do enjoy watching the NFL, NY Mets and my alma mater the Scarlet Knights of Rutgers men's basketball team on TV. Curb your Enthusiasm, Soprano's, Adult Swim (we all wanna be Master Shake) CNBC ( I'm addicted to that ticker), Food Network, old movies and anything the Tivo catches

Books:

When You Are Engulfed in Flames by David Sedaris

Heroes:

Grassroots people who make a difference in our everyday world, hands on folks without an agenda to get notariety and attention but who believe what they are doing will make the world or the neighborhood worth living in.
