The purpose of Heavy on the Ride is to do something different from any other band. We pride ourselves with creating music which is unique and original. We aim to make every song we write sound different through a dislike of being painted into a box of playing the same genre. Experimentation and integrity in what we are playing is the key to the bands success
Since forming in September 2007 we have played a variety of gigs in our home town of Swansea and in venues such as The Masons in Llanelli, Barrcuda in Bridgend and even Ye Old Foundry in Dudley Birmingham all while beginning to create a following
Plans for 2008 include completion of a self produced debut album, branching out to more gigs in the Birmingham area after great success from our debut show and an appearance on the Coalition of truth compliation cd which features many of south wales best talent
The main ambition for Heavy on the Ride is to appear on the couch on MTV’s Gonzo with Zane Lowe simply to have the oppurtunity to choose 5 songs of our choice...
