Brotha Blacquenhard: WELCOME TO BLACQUE HOUSE!

About Me

Who is Blacquenhard? Actually "Blacquenhard" is a concept more than a person. All my life, I have heard people talk about how HARD it is to be BLACK in this world and in this country [USA]. My philosophy is that I as a man and we as a people must be BLACK and HARD! Not "hard" in the self-destructive, self-hating ways that we see on a daily basis. But "HARD" in the way that we love each other, respect and protect each other and demand respect for all our people GLOBALLY! We've come too far to submit to our oppressors by becoming less or other than BLACK and HARD! Global Black Power is needed. Pan-Africanism [the unity of African people on the Continent and the Diaspora] has to be our collective goal. Many of my ideas and philosophies about life began to develop when I attended the Community College of Allegheny County [CCAC] in Pittsburgh, PA during the 1990s. I was a typical young brother, addicted to Hip Hop, sports [Michael Jordan], and definitely getting with the honeys. My life changed when I read the Autobiography of Malcolm X. When I finally took African American History classes, I definitely began my pursuit of TRUTH AND JUSTICE! I transferred to the University of Pittsburgh and graduated in 1998. Unlike many people of my generation, I am a highly political individual. I am open to political ideas which many people say are radical. But, I'm really all about Black Power and Black on Black love. What about the brotha with the crazy eyes? He symbolizes the idea that I have my eyes wide open to what's going on in the world. I hope I haven't offended anyone with this image. Some people see it as a negative Black stereotype and get angry with me for putting it out. Some people find it humorous. IN ORDER TO CAPTURE THE SPIRIT of UNITY, RESISTANCE AND VICTORY, each time the eyes flash, throw your fist in the air and chant "BLACK N HARD."Oh yeah, please stick with me. I'm new to MySpace and I am learning how to maximize its potential to the fullest. I consider all of you not only "friends" but true Brothas and Sistas who have great beauty, talent and intelligence. For us to reach our full potential as individuals, we must find and develop effective and innovative ways to "hook up" our great attributes for the benefit of our people. That's really why I'm here...Warning: This is a living, dynamic MySpace profile. There will be a continual change of themes, music, videos and "Top Friends." I'm all about growth and change. I can't call you a "friend" and keep your profile locked on page 307. I'll keep a fresh rotation so that everyone can get some shine and a chance to network. So keep checking back to see what surprises are in store.

Great Black Music from all over the world! Our musical tradition transcends any categorization. When we open our minds and appreciate the best music of African people [Continental and Diaspora], we will be on our way to uniting as a global power bloc that will bring about fundamental cultural, political and economic change. MUSIC IS BOTH THERMOMETER AND THERMOSTAT -- AND SO IS EACH ONE OF US! THINK ABOUT IT...
