About Me

Hey folks, looks like we have been disbanded due to certain *ahem* bass players moving out of state, no inner conflicts or drama here, well all I can say is it was a blast in the short time we spent playing Cleveland. I would like to extend my thanks to everyone at the shows who supported us and listened to our tunes, especially everyone that supported the sound we were going for at a time when it seems to me punk music is more about image or a certain niche that we never intended on fitting into. It really was a blast playing with these guys and I am really going to miss it. Anybody who saw any of our shows knows we were really having a lot of fun and putting our all into every opportunity we got to do a show in this town (no matter how mismatched the bill.) Nate, Rob and I worked pretty hard on practicing the tunes and there's a lot of good (or bad) covers that never made it to cd, we were always down for a goofy 80's tune when we could pull off those high notes... In conclusion I'm sad to see it go, but extremely appreciative for having been given the chance to do our thing. So thanks.original bio..... Streets Ahead is a Cleveland, OH collaboration between three random guys from three very random places, heavily influenced by mid-1990's punk rock, among other things. They play loud, they play fast, and they play often. Streets Ahead, like a lot of good punk rock bands, is a mashup of several unique styles, tied together with a common appreciation for genuine energy and excitement. Vocal duties are split between Justin and Nate. The two styles are different yet seem to mesh well. You won't find eighty piece orchestras behind us, or lyrics that pander to the emotional dramatic standards of fourteen year olds (nothing against fourteen year olds, but they tend to overreact). We're not especially old, and yet, as guys who grew up playing in bands before the MySpace era, sometimes we feel that way. We're not full of crap, and we're not full of ourselves -- and if you like punk rock, or just fast, energetic music in general (anything from the Ramones and Social D, to the occasional hair-metal song you'd play in your car when driving alone), we think you might actually like us.
