I worry for my dying country

About Me

I want to live in Prague some day.
They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.
Benjamin Franklin
Man is born free, and everywhere he is in chains.
Jean-Jacques Rousseau
Is there one single maxim that could ruin a country?"
Confucius replied: "Mere words could not achieve this. There is a saying, however: 'The only pleasure of being a prince is never having to suffer contradiction.' If you are right and no one contradicts you - is this not almost a case of 'one single maxim that could ruin a country"?

- The Analects of Confucius, 13.15
Yes and no... this or that... one or zero. On the basis of this elementary two-term discrimination, all human knowledge is built up. The demonstration of this is the computer memory which stores all its knowledge in the form of binary information. It contains ones and zero, that is all.
Mu in Japanese means "no thing." It points outside the process of dualistic discrimination. Mu simply says, "no class; not one, not zero, not yes, not no." It states that the context of the question is such that a yes or a no answer is in error and should not be given. "Unask the question" is what it says.
Mu becomes appropriate when the context of the question becomes too small for the truth of the answer, when the Zen monk Joshu was asked whether a dog had a Buddha nature he said "Mu" meaning that if he answered either way he was answering incorrectly. The Buddha nature cannot be captured by yes or no questions
My heart beat faster and faster as her white face came up to my own. I knew that when we kissed, and forever wed my unutterable visions to her perishable breath, my mind would never romp again like the mind of God. So I waited, listening for a moment longer to the tuning fork that had been truck upon a star. Then I kissed her. At our lips' touch she blossomed for me like a flower and the incarnation was complete.
I smile all the time, just not in pictures. If you want to know why, ask.
Praying Mantises are my friends.

I'm missing something, and I do not know what it is.

I feel lonely, but it's not something a person or a thing can fix. I feel like I lost something, but I'm not sure what it was, if I gave it up, or if I truly did lose it. I've been feeling this way ...

Day 5, no soda or caffeine drinks, or sweets for that matter

Day 3, Wednesday, was by far the hardest. I had had a headache for about a day and a half at that point. I almost broke, but, I did not. Today is now Friday, this weekend might be hard, but I kind ...
