About Me

To most easily express who I am, it is best characterised by my interests (listed) which I persue with much enthusiasm, however rather sporadicly. I am currently working out how I can include all my interests in my life! Career-wise, I have spent the last 6 years focused on (studying & working within) the Fashion (Design) Industry. However, performance arts and writing are also avenues I would like to explore in a professional capacity. I am a complex character... I am all of the definitions in the dictionary, and more. For some help, check out these 'Pip' links;http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/pip; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PIP; http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/seed;If you want to see what really makes me tick, watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rQiF2cRKdc(For any further details contact me on Facebook)

I'd like to meet:

Interesting people that share an affinity (with me) for intellectually stimulating conversation. I'd like to meet people that I can hold a high regard for, which means people that I can teach or learn from, share experiences with, explore life, people that are totally genuine, people I can have a heap of fun and be completely silly with! A "GSOH" (I like Pina Coladas...) never goes astray; a well developed sense of respect of others and themselves is necessary; The people I'd like to meet don't need to share the same interests or opinion/s as me but must be passionate and well educated about what they talk about, and open to different perspectives/ideas."Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." (Dr. Seuss)You are alive, and that is the only place you need to be to start. (Carrie Rainey)

Music:

Oh so much, where to begin?!! Depending on my mood I tend to be attracted to the following genres, but not exclusively; Dance: Progressive House & Trance preferred. A tribal beat gets me. I like "Dark" sounds mostly, especially with a drum beat that could revive a stopped heart, vibrating through your entire body. Goth, Rock, Ballads, Ambient sounds, Commercial music, Industrial, Rap, Breaks, Beat boxing, Classical & Opera, World Music, Jazz. Probably easier to just say I love everything except for Country music. Even then there's exceptions...

Movies:

I like Childhood fantasy style movies (eg. The Dark Crystal, The Labyrinth, The Never Ending Story and Jim Hensons' Storyteller series, etc.) and Arthouse/Drama/World movies. Good Psycho thrillers/Other movies that "make you think". Oh, and lighthearted comedy for when you want to zone out... "What the bleep do we know?!","Momento", "Pi", "Life is beautiful", "Napoleon Dynamite", "Catch me if you can", "Crash", "Magnolia", "Lock, Stock & 2 smokin' barrels", "Trainspotting", American Beauty", "Human Traffic", "Return to OZ", "Heavenly Creatures", "Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind", "The butterfly effect", "The Usual Suspects" and many, many more... ; A big fan of Christian Bale and Kate Winslet.

Television:

Don't watch much. My favourite programme is Global Village on SBS, which I never get home in time to watch anyhow. There are some great programmes that are no longer on T.V. eg. Black Books, Faulty Towers etc. (I am typically amused by the English sense of humour.) and other randoms... like documentaries, and (as much as I don't want to admit it) makeover shows too.

Books:

I like lots of literature (I can hear you laughing Rael!); I tend towards psychological studies and classic fiction. There's heaps of other books, but off the top of my head I can only think of 3: 'Perfume' by Patrick Suskund, 'A Cage of Butterflies' by Brian Caswell & 'Tomorrow, when the War began' by John Marsden. Check out 'Pip' in this link (a famous literary classic); http://www.charlesdickenspage.com/expectations.html (Were my parents trying to tell me something?!)

Heroes:

Many... Joan of Arc. My grandmother. And all the cliched ones... that is, people that have overcome harsh adversity only to become extremely successful at what they do &/or bestow a great deal of goodness/devotion unto humanity/animals/the environment. Oh, also Weng Weng and Clutch Cargo [Family Classic]. (Check them out on YouTube)
