British born DJ / Promoter / Producer London, England.At 9am on Monday June 12th 2006, I set out to break the Guinness World Record for the longest DJ set in history. The record stood at 84 hours and at 9pm on Thursday the 15th June I reached my target, but I didnâ€™t stop there. I played for a further 3 hours taking the new record to 87 hours live, continuous mixing.In order to successfully claim the title and set a new, official record, I had to adhere to all sorts of Guinness World Record (GWR) rules and regulations and Iâ€™m still in the process of gathering all the data necessary for my completed application for the title of Guinness World Record Holder.I played over 800 records over more than 3 days, on my feet, without sleep. The set incorporated all genres of house music, from jazzy vocal to tribal progressive, as well as a selection of my own tracks. The attempt took place in a purpose built nightclub in Federation Square, Melbourne, Australia.The event was staged in a bid to raise funds for two Australian charities: The Big Issue, which enables homeless people to take steps towards getting off the street; and Challenge, which supports children suffering from cancer and other life-threatening blood disorders.Since the attempt, I have been working on my own TV show about dance music and culture. I am the writer, director and host and the show is called Dance Noise and will air weekly in Australia. We have currently shot numerous interviews and profiles and the first segments aired on August 18th 2006. Now that I'm back in London I will continue filming for the show as well as working on my production and DJing.
