Music:
All kinds of music. I grew up on rock bands like Deep Purple, Grand Funk, Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd... Then came the progressive bands like Genesis, Yes, Gentle Giant, PFM... Québec had some great bands like Harmonium, Beau Dommage, Uzeb... Then came Jazz music, like Al DiMeola, John McLaughlin, Dave Brubeck, Keith Jarret, Chick Corea, Weather Report, Jaco Pastorius, Pat Metheny, Rippingtons, Spyro Gyra, Steve Khan, Miles Davis... too many to name them all.
I love music that doesn't leave me indifferent. In the past year or so I've come to enjoy listening to Chinese traditional music, quite beautiful and relaxing, check out the artists friends on my profile. So far I've discovered, the erhu (Chinese violin), the guzheng (Chinese zither) and the pipa (Chinese luth). Please check out Shen Qi, her erhu playing is simply heartwarming, with every stroke of her bow she reaches out and touches you. There is also XD Wei and also Xuefei who plays classical guitar. They are all quite sublime.
Movies:
I like animations quite a bit, comedies, romantic and action movies. Some of my favorites are Daisy, La fille du botanist, Spiderman, Men in black. I like most of the Disney animations, Pixar have made some great movies over the years. But the most beautiful animations I have seen to date are from the Japanese animator Hayao Miazaki.
Television:
Lost,Gray's Anatomy,X-Files,Firefly,Alias and many great shows over the years.
Books:
I like author who create great characters and write stories that keep me interested like Leon Uris, Stephen King, Dan Brown, Micheal Crichton, Arthur C. Clark, Arthur S. Goldens Memoires of a Geisha. I've read many books from Amy Tan. I like the way she writes, the characters she creates and the stories she tells. Currently reading Amy Tan's The Opposite of Fate.
Heroes:
