K.Maro’s arrival with single Femme Like U in 2004 made some serious noise! Ever since, the one who was thought to be a “One Hit Wonder” has proven otherwise. He built his success step by step, from the release of his first solo album La Good Life, to each single that followed, until he received the Song Of the Year 2004 Award with Femme Like U at the 2005 NRJ Music Awards ceremony. Taking Cyril Kamar for an amateur would have been a mistake indeed.

This 25 year old Lebanese settled in Quebec during his teenage years. He put together his first band LMDS (Les Messagers Du Son/The Messengers of Sound) when he was only 13… And his first investments in aluminum stocks were done at 17! A childhood marked by years of war in Lebanon, K.Maro has managed to transpose his rage and grudge towards life into great strength. “Guilty For Being The Best” has become his motto, which he had tattooed on his arm to never lose sight of his objective. Ever since, he combines with savvy music and business, French precursor of a new Golden-Boys artist type who manage their image, career and empire while staying creative.

When K.Maro launched his solo project, he decided to turn conventions around by adding to his Hip Hop influences heavy electric guitars and groovy sounds. This explosive blend mixed with a unique vocal tone (bringing women to a frenzy!) is what built his fan base now counted in 17 European countries, in Canada and soon in Japan! Take a look: over 350,000 units exported resulting in 10 Gold albums from Russia to Germany… Quite a master stroke for an urban artist who sings in French! Also in his cleverly picked roster and soon to be discovered are VAÏ, an astounding French rapper - surely one of the best of his generation and PEYA, a pop-rock artist with exceptional wittiness!
