Check out some of the paintings (mixed media: watercolors and fabric collage, below) that were featured in my Mom's exhibit Dance on Paper, Dance on the Floor. Kicking off the reception for the exhibit was a dance performance that included an intergeneration dance (also pictured below) with seven dancers between the ages of 7 and 84 (including my sister and two of my cousins) and another dance - which my Mom performed solo - that featured Mark Simos and I playing fiddle and guitar (respectively). The performance and exhibit were held at the Cambridge Multicultural Arts Center (www.cmacusa.org); the opening was on Friday, June 15 and the exhibit hung through Friday, July 20.
