ON THE REAL SIDE SOUL CLUB was launched in January 2000. Partying, dancing and quality soul played for the dancefloor from original vinyl was and is the basic idea behind OTRSSC. Over the years the club has been held at Röda Rummet, Cronan, Stars and Bars as well as other venues in Gothenburg for other events, like the SOUL UNITY allnighters, arranged by the On The Real Side crew. On The Real Side was in many ways a continuation of the previous clubs Uptown, Ace Club and Merrytone. The resident DJ's were Christian, Ludvig and Soulof. We have also been involved with other rare soul events and have been djing at other clubs and events in Sweden and abroad. Many Swedish and international guest DJ's have visited the club and related events. Butch, Carl Willingham, Andy Dyson, Mick H, David Flynn, Irish Greg, Kitch, Alex Jones, Derek Pearson, Marc Forrest, Rob Messer, Eddie Engel, Paul Havekin, Yann Vatiste, Tony Jackson, Christian Brödsjö, Heikki H, Tommy Sövik, Punky, Johan Tollgerdt, Sebban, Dutten, Per Skoog, Karl Marthon, Martin Johansson, Takuya, Haga-Conny and many others! The club took a long break from May 2006 to August 2007, but now we are back!
