The Hussy

Sweet, Simple, Stoopid

About Me

Two Piece. Piss and vinegar rock and roll out of Madison, Wisconsin. Formed during the sweltering summer of 2007. Yeah, we've played in other more 'popular' bands...so the fuck what? We've moved on...have you?
We each partake in other activities in the musical realm: Heather in Whore du Jour, the Weebots and Kaliko. And Bobby in Kaliko and Fashionable Blues?.
all songs written/performed by Bobby and Heather collaboratively under the moniker The Hussy.
No...we're not smarter than you, and we won't pretend we are.
First four recordings done at the Basement on Friday April 18 from 2:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., recorded by the Hussy, engineered/mixed by Robert Wegner. Special Thanks to Cari and Sara for extra vocals on Easy, and for putting up with our shit while we recorded. Other thanks to Murns, Jesse B and Jesse S, and Andy their lovable roommate.
Last Two recordings done at Todd Ostertag's studio, Relax, and recorded by Todd.
thanks to everyone who's helping us book shows.
Currently we’re working on a lucrative 3 cassette contract plus a modest Midwest Tour with Goodyear and Pennzoil. We've already got all the cassettes recorded and reeled for under $12.75, but don't tell them that. Did I mention they're throwing in a FREE 1987 Ford Econoline Diesel with free oil changes for life. Yeah we're THAT good.
We like Turkey more than Ham...
Heather supports Rogers Drumsets missing lugs.
Bobby supports blown out speakers and fuses.
Our EP is available at all shows for just 3 bucks.
T-shirts and split cassettes are in the works...be patient!
whatever happened to rock n roll being uneducated at best?

Sounds Like: childish simplicity and stoopidity in yr D.
From the Onion June 26, 2008:
"If anyone's qualified to help Madison audiences bash away a few brain cells, it's Heather Sawyer and Robert Wegner...Their new band, The Hussy, collides Wegner's garage-rock riffage, Sawyer's considerable drum-pummeling skills, and playfully obnoxious vocals from both."
From Mister G - Green Arrow Radio June 29, 2008:
"A two piece from Madison calling themselves “the Hussy” made themselves known at the Frequency and man, it didn’t take long to have the beats beating a pulp of real raw rawkkkkk! Armed with a vexing guitar and a banger of earthshaking booms on drums, the Hussy brought back the short catchy hard hitting feeling I first remember when trying out heavy sounding underground sounds. I felt like I was back at CBGB’s getting a taste of what the others have been trying to make happen."
Record Label: unsigned
Type of Label: None
