About Me
----THE STORY SO FAR----T'was back in primary skool when my ears first pricked up to the sounds of Hip Hop. I think it was the Outhere Brothers (not exactly the Hip Hop I listen 2 2day!) & Coolio's albums I first owned. Other tracks I heard around the time like 'Regulators' (Nate + WarrenG) & 'I got 5 on it' got me further hooked. However, it wasn't 'till the later years of secondry skool that my knowledge of the music grew and by that time I had discovered one of my many talents (lol) was exactly that...Music! I always enjoyed & kinda excelled in music at skool & had some piano lessons privately. Being young and stupid, the lessons didn't last and I didn't continue music into my GCSE's because, at the time, I thought it would make sense to choose something more practical-(crazy huh?). Anyway, my interest in music was always there and because of my Dad being into computers, I was introduced to music software in the form of 'Octamed' on the Amiga (ancient computer) at a young age and liked experimenting with it. I only roughly knew what I was doing, but I knew what sounded right and when in the final year of skool I put it to the test...I only began writing lyrics a bit earlier than that but due to another movement, probably more popular among peers at the time, Garage! It was a good base to start writing with as not so many words, just fast talking. What I found was that I didn't really like to do the tongue rolling (BDBDBDBad Boy Style, if u know what i mean?); I prefered and felt more able to express myself with the smoother flow of Hip Hop.....As I was saying, in the final skool year, a few mates got together to record: 'The Last Episode' (the last in a series of badass Hip Hop comp. CD's that Blaze/PLC had produced while at skool), & 'Fuckin up the set'. Both tracks I had used the Amiga and we came up with the beats on the day! A while later, the crew had to reunite for 'Bring it to ya Raw!'. Purely down to the buzz of producing, then 5 of us recording live, grabbin the mic at the start of your verse and hoping for the best! Although our recording means were primitive, for this track I had moved on to the PC, using Fruity Loops to compose the beat. This was the start of a mini revolution and soon I had got the recording digital too. Not long after leavin skool I met an MC called Marcus (aka Felon) through my oldest brother, Michael (aka subliminal). Marcus heard some of my beatz in development and wanted to link up so, in no time at all, we had recorded a track titled 'U ain't on my Level' which set the ball rolling for more of the same with the addition of Marcus' brother, Wayne (aka Severe Sincere-SS), one of biggest talents I have heard. The 3 of us were recording almost a track every week at 1 point and called ourselves The UndaDogs. These were the first tracks I had made with some real creditability in the world of Hip Hop, just lacking some professional touches. Some catchy beatz and the writing compatability of the Brothers was electric so, at the time, i was truly proud of the end product. My writing, though was only the in the early stages of development and my confidence on the Mic was not up to scratch, especially following after 2 heavyweight MC's a few years older than me. In time, i got to grips and feel I now have at least a kinda unique style, with my words coming together better than they do 4 the average lyricist and my content more appealing. The Undadogs, unfortunately, didn't last and I'm probably to blame due to mashing it up 2much. When we first got together I had just started college, in which I only lasted 1 term (Wrong Subjects!). After dropping out, I had my mashup Honeymoon, kinda, where I had my first taste of E... and of course I liked it! So, 17 and well up for a laugh, me and all my mates we're getting stupidly off our rockers every weekend having all nighters, fuck-even all weekenders! This eventually halted the production of any more Hits from The Undadogs and down to the loss of a phone, I have even lost contact with the boys ! So if any 1 reads this and knows 2 brothers called Marcus & Wayne, from Wallington near Croyden-message me please!!!!!!!! Soooooo...After a couple of years or so and a good few thousand brain cells I realised that I had to sort myself out! and, while the mashup times were still happening, I had started working musically with my best mate, Fabio. He, like me had a big interest in Music/HipHop and, in particular, production, and I had introduced him onto Fruityloops on the PC. Using this program, he learned the in and outs very quickly and had some professional sounding beats in no time. Fab or Rage as he's known (www.myspace.com/rageegar), was much more of a perfectionist than I am; Never happy with what he's done until it is sounding right. Whereas, I would put some sounds together and when they sound good, I'd pretty much move on to the next and never really get the most out of the beat. This was when I realised that producing was better for him than me me as I got much more satisfaction out of writing. We have worked together on quite a few tracks and some of them are, in my view, pretty fucking good! But thats just an opinion...let me know your viewz please, no matter who u are! That was a couple of years or so back & Since then I have been slack, BIG time!! However, in the last year I have been getting some trackz together and I'm ready 2 get some down... one is on my space titled 'man amongst men' which is not my favorite but still cool...another I'm working on (more of a commercial trak, sorry) is called cosmetics and was written with my girl/partner in crime Milaya who is the heavenly voice on 'man amongst men'. One i can't wait to put down and upload 4 ya is 'Money Matters' a remake of a bad ass old tune I recorded with Rage and Subliminal which didn't quite have the quality in recording enough to air it, but will do soon and when Subliminal (my Bro) is on the loose again, he can get his part down 2! Anyway peeps, thanks for reading if u got this far + Message me ur viewz!!!!! ---------More to come----------
