Reading, TV (yah, that's right, I'm not ashamed either!), taking care of myself (that's a new one...), physics and philosophy and how the two relate, natural science, and oh, whatever else is on the discovery channel.
Dune (well the sleeper HAS awakened, after all), Spirited Away, Schreck 2 (if anyone wants to buy it for me, hint hint) Lord of the Rings 1,2,&3. I'm not a real big film buff, but sitting around watching a movie with friends is one of my favorite ways to spend an evening.
LOST, Stargate, Stargate, LOST. that's actually all I watch on a regular basis. I really enjoy stand-up comedy, the Daily Show, Colbert Report and the really bad made-for-tv movies on the sci-fi network (I swear they make them that bad on purpose).
Anything by Tom Robbins, Lord of the Rings (read that once a year-ish), what's-his-face who wrote Fight Club, and I've been reading a bit of fantasy beyond LOTR lately too.. check out George R.R. Martin for something really good. The Dune series. And READ THIS BOOK... American Gods by Neil Gaiman. No really, read American Gods, awesome book. I also like books about science and books about Buddhism, or better yet books about both science AND Buddhism, but I usually end up frustrated when the material gets over my head, especially when there's a lot of advanced physics, which I'm so interested in and way too stupid for.
My grandmother is pretty amazing. And my mom too. It's good to know there's some hope left in my gene pool.
