About Me

I love playing bass. It is the instrument I started on and is what I use to write music and perform. I love Melody mixed with something that breaths. Something you can feel."
Matt Moss was born in Houston, TX 3-12-1984 later to move to The woodlands shortly after he turned 4 years old. Matt says he took two drum lessons when he was nine years old. "I played a xylophone looking instrument in the fifth grade dubbing me percussion and didn’t pick up a real instrument until my 14th birthday; it was a bass guitar."
Matt started out playing folk Cajun hymns in church While studying the electric bass and music theory in high school. Following that he has played in a few different rock bands; played Zydeco, Rnb, Jazz and other genres. Moss just got off the road playing with Mike Zito (contemporary blues) for two years. During his time with Zito he opened up for such notables as Tesla, Buddy Guy, Dr. John, Walter trout to name a few. Currently Matt is focused on his solo bass career; hoping to reach those listeners that have a heart for melody.
