About Me

I stay up too late and i drink too much. I like people who kick things till they break and then try and build new things out of them. At the moment i live in Manchester and am training to be a youth worker. Two years ago i was living in Birmingham and working with marine animals. Next year i could be anywhere.I like squats and DiY culture. Junk music workshops and meeting dreadlocked strangers with three legged dogs (with or without string-leads)Im always late even when i give myself three hours to get somewhere so i wind my clock back by however long i have to to ensure that im always on time.I like people who smile and own red and black flags. I spend far to much money on vinyl, but never have all the time i want to sit listening to it.I havent a clue what my carbon footprint is right now, but one day ill make shoes with revolutionaries that it will fit nicely in.I like guerilla gardening and queer mutiny mindsets.I find insignificant things interesting and i like to sit in pubs with dreamers talking about the tree houses of the future and the party we will have when Thatcher cops it.

My Interests

Dj'ing, promoting, vinyl hunting, sitting on the roof, teaching circus arts, juggling, subvertising, street performing, attempting to make balloon animals at 3 in the morning, rain, queeruption, drumming circles, circus big tops, attitude, dancing all night in squat partys, direct action, piercings, tats, early morning bus rides, knowing what your card is, new places, cups of tea by the fire, humour, circled A..s, reading magic books, playing with fire, writing, anarchy, philosophy, independance, plays, innovative music, life,pints of cider by the canal, travelling, photography, punks, backpacks, social centres, bubblewrap, conversations with strangers, coming up, music, sunrise/sunset, free party crews, flip flops that go flop flip.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone with a spare lighter that works, people who like to dance so hard their elbows scrape the floor, Dj's with interesting record collections, glow stick wavers, anarchists and rebels, squatters, a landlady with a cute smile, a washer-upper and someone who has a work uniform worse than mine.

Music:

Drum n Bass, Grime, trip hop Garage, baselines, Funky House, folk, breakbeat, techno, hardcore, 80's classics, old skool, rock, indie and politico-poet-with-geetar-stuff.

Movies:

To many to list; at the moment, Trainspotting, The Mighty Ducks, The neverending story, American History X,Bruce Almighty, Hocus Pocus, Dont tell mom the babysitters dead, Honey i shrunk the kids, jumping jack flash.Im having a bit of a old skool revival.

Television:

Save Lullingstone castle,The L Word, Bad Girls, Dinnerladies, Birds of a feather, The Brittas Empire, Soldier Soldier, Ab Fab,My name is Earl, Wife Swap, Killer Net, Question Time, all the important ones..

Books:

It can be anything from Kevin Lewis's 'The Kid' and Urban Grimshaw and the shed crew by Bernard Hare right through to 'My story' Kerry Katona and Graham Nortons 'So'.

When im trying to be intelligent/make my brain hurt at the moment i can be found reading around youth work practice methods, informal education and books about specialist service provision.

(but yeah mostly trash autobiographys)
