Dallas aka KrayzKree, has a unique singing and songwriting style, ’indigenous hip-hop’, and performs under the name Kray‹Z›Kree, which is what his grandfather called him when he was a boy.His debut CD "REZalationzzz.." was released in April, 2007. One of the songs "Pow-Wow Trailz" was featured on Snag Records’ compilation, "Rhymes From The 49 Vol. 1". Recently at the Aboriginal Peoples Choice Awards, KrayzKree was nominated for 5 awards, and won one, as best producer in the APCMA music industry. One of his tunes, "The Message," comes out of his personal experience walking the streets of Edmonton as a teenager, confused and disillusioned. "I grew up in the rough parts of Edmonton. I saw Aboriginal people on the streets. They were always stereotyped as being drunks, ’stealing Indians’, ’bad Indians’, ’wagon burners’, and I wasn’t that. I wanted people to know that. Also in my life, there was a lack of role models, so I wrote this song called The Message. It’s a message to all those people who are lost."
