I like the Outlander Novels by Diana Gabaldon (last but not least because of her funny description of Scots who seem to do nothing but fighting, drinking and stealing cows :), the Physician by Noah Gordon, the Alchimist by Paulo Coelho, the Name of the Rose and Foucault's Pendulum by Umberto Eco, Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code, all the Discworld Novels by Terry Pratchett; His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman and love to read books written by Milan Kundera, Jane Austen, J.P. Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir;
