"Meryl grew up on Long Island, currently lives in Monmouth County and has been working as a tattoo artist at Taboo Tattoos in Keyport for three years. She graduated from the Parson School of Design in New York and after working as an art director in a large corporation for 8 years, quit her job to apprentice to the tattoo artist Denise De La Cerda in Jersey City. She has been creating tattoos for 5 ½ years. Meryl studies myth and mysticism of all cultures and is particularly interested in Hindu and Buddhist deities, such as Kali who is known by Hindus as the Dark Mother and Goddess of Destruction."
