Sono nato a Piacenza nel 1969 e nel 1983 la passione per la batteria entra nella mia vita e con l'aiuto prezioso di un grande musicista,ENRICO TIZZONI,batterista di stampo anni 70 dotato di spiccata creatività ,che inizia ad insegnarmi i primi rudimenti sul tamburo e più tardi poi sulla batteria i vari stili musicali affrontando presto tematiche come il groove e il timing.Ho proseguito poi,in modo autodidattico con metodi come "l'arte della percussione "di BUONOMO ALDO e ANTONIO, "Il batterista "e "La batteria "di CENTAZZO ANDREA e molte trascrizioni di GENE KRUPA, "Advanced techniques for the modern drummer "di JIM CHAPIN. Durante l'adolescenza ho apprezzato inoltre grandi batteristi come COZY POWELL,NICKO Mc BRAIN e ho suonato ispirandomi a questi ultimi prevalentemente in ambito rock con piccole performance per iniziative del comune e in locali ,pub a Cremona,piacenza,Brescia.Ho suonato per anni con "SPECIAL FORCE"(1987-1995), con un buon seguito di fan,ma l'incontro improvviso con MATTEO TROGU bassista funky genovese nel 1995,mi ha portato ad affrontare nuovi temi e interessanti studi in ambito jazz e funky.Ho iniziato così ad ascoltare e studiare batteristi come DENNIS CHAMBERS, VINNIE COLAIUTA e in particolare STEVE SMITH con il suo inconfondibile groove.L'incontro decisivo per il mio percorso musicale è avvenuto nel 98 con il chitarrista jazz e maestro di chitarra classica GIORGIO SCLAVO ,con il quale io e MATTEO TROGU diamo inizio al trio fusion SCLAVO TRIO che diventerà in seguito SOUND 4 SALE suonando dal vivo con ospiti d'eccezione sia nazionali che internazionali nei migliori jazz club e locali del nord italia come :JAZZ ON LIVE a Brescia, SCIMMIE,CIRCOLO IL CAFFE a Milano ,HARRY'S BAR a Vicenza o BLUE CLUB,SAX PUB,CENTRALE DELLA BIRRA,NUVOLARI, MORDILLO CAFFE',AI TEMPLARI a Cremona. Suono inoltre in una THE POLICE tribute band composta da: ALESSIO FABBRICATORE voce, GIORGIO SCLAVO chitarra, MATTEO TROGU basso elettrico , e nei “BALOTAS†band rockabbestia demenziale decisamente divertente e originale composta da DAVIDE ZAINI chitarra e voce,SIMONE AVERSA chitarra,ANDREA NAVA basso e voce e infine YURI GHERARDI performer.La band spazia da pezzi originali propri a cover di bands underground e vanta grande spettacolarità per via degli effetti scenici talvolta pirotecnici
Ho suonato e suono con grandi musicisti come: ROBERTO BOCCASAVIA tastiere e piano, GABRIELE PETETTI tastiere e piano,GIOVANNI GUERRETTI tastiere e piano, MAURO SLAVIERO sax, STEVE ALI' LABIB sax, FLORINDO GRILLO sax, MAURO CAPITALE sax, ROY PACI tromba, GHERARDO D'ACQUATI tromba, FULVIO SIGURT'A tromba, GIOVANNI BARDINI voce, ACHILLE SUCCI clarinetto e sax, ENZO FRASSI basso e contrabbasso,ROBERTO PASCUCCI basso e contrabbasso, MATTIA TEDESCO chitarra,MARCO MATURO chitarra,GIANCARLO TOSSANI piano,FABIO CRESPIATICO contrabbasso,TAY SANTIAGO voce e percussioni . Devo dire inoltre che non sono un musicista professionista,ma mi piace comunque suonare in modo estremamente professionale. Vivo in provincia di Cremona, sono sposato ,ho due bambini e mi trovate generalmente in giro per eventi live sia miei che di altri amici musicisti e in jam session....Sono sempre alla ricerca di progetti interessanti e originali a cui collaborare e insegno batteria :)---------------------------------------------I was born in Piacenza in 1969. In 1983 the love for the drum-kit burst into my life and with the valuable help of a great musician, ENRICO TIZZONI, a drummer of the 70's who has a remarkable creativity, I started to practice the fundamentals on the drum. And later on the drum-kit I played the various musical styles, quickly dealing with groove and timing themes. Afterwards I began a self-taught study utilizing some methods as: L'arte della percussione,by BUONOMO ALDO and ANTONIO, Il batterista and La batteria by CENTAZZO ANDREA and many trascription of GENE KRUPA, Advanced techniques for the modern drummer by JIM CHAPIN. During my youth I've studyed drumers as COZY POWELL,NICKO Mc BRAIN and played mostly rock music, taking part in several public performances mainly in Cremona,Piacenza,Brescia but also in small concerts in pubs. I've been playing with the SPECIAL FORCE for about nine years (1987-1995), an hard-rock band, which had a good flock of fans. But the unexpected meeting with MATTEO TROGU, a Genoese funky bassist, in 1995, drove me to deal with new musical themes full of new interesting studies in the funky and jazz area. We started to study drummers such as DENNIS CHAMBERS, VINNIE COLAIUTA and particularly STEVE SMITH with his unmistakeble groove. The crucial meeting in my musical path has been with the jazz guitarist GIORGIO SCLAVO. In 1999 together with MATTEO TROGU, we made the "Sclavo Trio"(a fusion group), which is later become SOUND4SALE playing with prestigious national and international guests in the most interesting jazz clubs of the North of Italy, as for example ,JAZZ ON LIVE in Brescia, SCIMMIE ,CIRCOLO IL CAFFE in Milan,HARRY'S BAR in Vicenza or BLUE CLUB,SAX PUB,CENTRALE DELLA BIRRA,NUVOLARI, ,MORDILLO CAFFE',AI TEMPLARI,in our city Cremona. Besides I play in another THE POLICE tribute band formed by: ALESSIO FABBRICATORE voice.The “BALOTAS" original underground rock band with many phirotecnics effect in live situation .I've played and I'm still playing with great musicians such as: ROBERTO BOCCASAVIA ,keyboards and piano, GABRIELE PETETTI - keyboards and piano, GIOVANNI GUERETTI keyboards and piano, MAURO SLAVIERO sax, STEVE ALI' LABIB sax, FLORINDO GRILLO sax, MAURO CAPITALE sax, ROY PACI trumpet, GHERARDO D'ACQUATI trumpet, FULVIO SIGURTA' trumpet, MARCO MATURO guitar, GIOVANNI BARDINI voice, ACHILLE SUCCI clarinet and sax, ENZO FRASSI bass and double bass, MATTIA TEDESCO guitar,ROBERTO PASCUCCI bass and doublebass,GIANCARLO TOSSANI piano and keyboard ,FABIO CRESPIATICO double bass,TAY SANTIAGO vocal & percussions.I must admit that I'm not a professional musician; I really like to play and however I try to do it in an extremely professional way. I live in the province of Cremona, I'm married and my wife and I have two children. You can usually find me around for live musical events, both of friends of mine or of someone else and for jam session... I'm always looking for interesting and original projects to which cooperate :)
