Sam’Plays
Her career began at an early age of 5, as member of a classical choir. For years, she toured many churches and cathedrals before discovering gospel music. As she turned 23, she was chosen to participate in "Gospel pour 100 voix", the largest gospel choir in Europe. With the choir, she recorded 2 albums and a “Best of†CD , made TV appearances, and gave concerts in some of the biggest venues in Europe.
Between dates with the choir, Sam’Plays sang with various groups of different styles ranging from Blues to R&B and Soul; also more exotic styles like Latin Jazz, Zouk, Reggae, or Salsa & Reggeaton. Her collaborations with Gee Vocal DJ would permit her broaden her musical horizon to even House music.
Sam’Plays is no stranger to TV and the international stage. She went on tour for a year as background singer for Nadîya (France’s N°1 selling R&B artist). She also toured with Carlos de Nicaragua (ex-member of the group Mano Negra).
She even put together an international variety show which she performed at several of the most- exclusive restaurants on the Champs Elyees in Paris.
Her musical influences are as varied as her experience. Artists such as: Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross, Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding, U2, Police, Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, Madonna, Usher, Beyoncé, Puff Daddy, R. Kelly, Bob Marley, Whitney Houston, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Daddy Yankee, and El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico helped to form who Sam’Plays is today.
