Lou Gentile is one of America's TOP Paranormal Investigators & Demonologists today! With a lifetime of experience and being trained by America's only Roman Catholic LAY demonologist, Lou strives to help people who are afflicted with Negative, Demonoic or Diabolical Entities all free of charge.
Lou has personally experienced Ghosts and Violent Haunting's for over 20 years. He was born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania and grew up in 2 haunted houses. Not having anyone to help him, Lou began a lifetime of Research & Experience into the world of Violent Hauntings & Demonology. On average, Lou has investigated, documented, solved or brought closure to well over 1200 cases in the Pennsylvania, New Jersey & Delaware Area as well as the United States. Lou works with Clergy in getting people the help they need whether it is spiritual or just simply helping them get to a psychologist to review their mental stature. He has worked with The Roman Catholic Church, The Episcopal Church, Baptist Ministers, Deliverance Ministers, Christian Missionary Clergy, Presbyterian Clergy, The Jesuits, Catholic Churches, Rabbi's, Etc. and Exorcists from the same. After working with many of these different Religions/Denominations, Clergy & Exorcists trust what evidence Lou brings to them sometimes without even having to review it until a later date. Evidence that Lou submits is not by any means Orbs or Globules caught on film, it is usually much more dramatic and constitues immediate action. Some of the evidence that Lou gathers on an investigation could be audio of an entity screaming blasphemies to a person or their religious beliefs, video of levitation of large heavy objects, shadow ghosts/spectres, people being attacked by an unseen force or the worst yet of someone going under the influence of the demonic or diabolical. While many of this type of phenomena is RARE, it still does occur. The complexities of dealing with something you cannot see is very difficult and it is Lou's faith that helps him do what he does.
In January of 2006 Lou Gentile after many years of getting electronic voice phenomena, decided that he was going to take James Randi up on his One Million Dollar Paranormal Challenge. Lou officially submitted his notarized challenge claim to James Randi's Educational Foundation on January 20th, 2006. To Lou's surprise he found out that he was the ONLY applicant to EVER submit a claim for the challenge in the Electronic Voice Phenomena category. Your probably wondering exactly what does Lou do and why hasn't anyone else been able to submit a challenge claim for EVP's? Two years prior to Lou submitting his application to the JREF, he was lecturing at Colleges, Universities and Conventions on the work that he does. One thing that Lou added to his lectures was at the very end he would pick ten to fifteen people and let them experience the EVP phenomena first hand. Imagine sitting in a room, totally silent and then Lou asks questions to thin air. The results are immediately played back on his recorder and to your amazement, there are voices answering the questions Lou is asking. There is no magic involved and definitely no trickery. Some people who have never experienced this first hand with Lou say that the voices he gets on his DIGITAL RECORDER are stray AM, FM or Shortwave signals. Interestingly enough, those types of STRAY signals don't interact and answer questions. The reality of it is that Lou has been able to show that whatever he is contacting has some form of intelligence and personality that is interacting with him. So, why hasn't anyone been able to submit a challenge claim for the category of EVP's? Simply put, Lou Gentile has the ablity to get EVP's anywhere at anytime. This means Lou can be scientifically tested in a Laboratory under controlled settings with a faraday cage. Repeating a test over and over again constitutes scrutiny for scientific testing. Presently Lou resides in Northeast Philadelphia with his wife Antoinette and family of four. What does Lou do?
In Philadelphia Lou is the director of Delaware Valley Demonology Research, a Research Organization that goes out on claims of the paranormal, supernatural and preternatural. It is Lou's job to go out on these claims and Scientifically prove if there is in fact things going on that are Paranormal, Supernatural or Preternatural.
Paranormal: Activity that is not explained by Science yet.
Supernatural: Activity that relates to religion's good side and is beyond our scientific scope. This could include Bleeding Statues, Miracles, Ghosts, Angels, Visitations by loved ones after death, Normal Human Spirit Hauntings and many other good experiences.
Preternatural: Activity that relates to religions darker side and is beyond our scientific scope. This could include Violent Haunting's, People involved in cultic practices, Demons, Devils, Fallen Angels, Malevolent Inhuman Spirits, Elemental Spirits, Poltergeists, Incubus, Succubus, Night Hags, Black Magic, Satanism in any form and other various darker powers.
Once Lou has the proper evidence that these things are in fact real and happening to the person, object or environment, he documents all of his findings and presents it to the proper clergy authority. Most of the cases Lou goes out are from just normal everyday people going through a bad haunting. Many people have called him from a hotel or a family members house because of what is happening in their home. The name Delaware Valley Demonology Research sounds scary but the fact is that people trust an organization with that name to investigate violent, bad or threatening phenomena rather than a ghost group or organization.
Everything Lou does is in the name of God. Although Lou is a devout Roman Catholic, he works with all religions as long as they are not worshiping evil or the devil. Lou has worked with Police Departments in different parts of Pennsylvania to help them figure out what type of Occult or Cults were at work in the crimes committed. The basic premise for what drives Lou to help people is the will to bring the reality that the devil exists and that these things do in fact happen to people, places and objects.

What is Demonology? The most basic Definitions of what demonology is the following:
The Study of Fallen Angels or The Study of Demons;
Lou must know what his enemy knows or else how can he help someone who is turning away from Satanism or black magic or alike. He needs to know the dark side of religion and magic in order to help people get back with god. It may sound kind of confusing but if you were to help a Satanist get out of Satanism, without having severe repercussions how would you be able to help that person do it without the knowledge of the many forms of Satanism or better yet what Satanism really is?
What is a Demonologist?
The most basic Definitions of what a Demonologist is the following:
An Individual who specializes in the removal of Evil or Demonic Forces from a given environment using the art of Demonology.
One who brings Demonic Forces out of their slumber to be cast away.
The Art of Persuading a Demon(s) to leave its slumber domain and go elsewhere.
An Individual who Religiously Provokes to bring the Demonic or Diabolical entity out so clergy can remove it.
A Demonologist can be two types of individuals:
Someone like Lou who uses his knowledge to help people and uses a Religious backbone in the name of GOD.
Someone who is NOT like Lou and uses Magic and darker powers in hopes of trying to command these entities away.
What are Lou's Credentials?
One of the things that separates Lou Gentile from everyone else in the field of the Paranormal is the Fact that he has studied with the best in the world, Ed Warren. Ed Warren was one of only seven Religious Demonologist's in the world that was authorized by the Roman Catholic Church and the Vatican. Ed Warren was the only Lay person of the seven.
When Lou investigates a case, he is only one of a handful of people in the world that can stakes claim to getting an EVP ( Electronic Voice Phenomena ) at any haunted location. If Lou doesn't get an EVP, It's not haunted. While there are many people in this country that just took a camera and went into cemeteries and houses without any proper training (These people are usually self proclaimed Paranormal Investigators or alike), Lou learned from the best about what equipment to use, how to properly use it, classifications of ghosts & spirits, haunting's, demonology, Mythology, Theology and most important How to deal with Religion, Science and Man when going through a haunting.
