6. On The Ethereal Plane
Ice Cream Social brings the rock on their 3rd release, and 2nd EP, "Way Into Gold." Produced by Buffalo's lost (to Arizona) love Fen Ikner (of Knife Crazy fame), This is their fullest and best sounding effort to date. Lead singer and lyricist, Tom Ballou writes of dead girls, epic battles between good and evil, cats, and farming. The re-recording of Kitten/Butterfly, their first full length's title track, kicks the tempo and the energy up and best embodies the spirit of their live performance. Think The Decemberists with keyboards instead of strings and horns.
For fans of: Headlights, Of Montreal, The Decemberists
$5 (postage paid)
Rebecca Ryskalczyk "Bear Lake EP"
1. Abime
2. Nothing Is Certain But Death And Taxes
3. Gilding The lily
4. The Muse
5. And They Whistle The Pleasures Of The Damned
Rebecca Ryskalczyk shocked all that knew her one fateful December day, when she posted a few songs she wrote on her brand new myspace. What her page's visitors heard was raw passion that lacked any sort of pretense or insincerity. Rebecca is much more than the average "girl with a guitar" act, captivating audiences wherever she picks up a guitar and starts to sing.
This is Whaleplane's most ornately designed album to date, featuring a hand painted cover. Get 'em while the paint's still wet!
For fans of: Ani DiFranco (if only because they're both passionate females playing guitars), Page France, Bright Eyes
SOLD OUT :(
Ned Campbell "What Pleases Best" EP
1. What Pleases Best
2. Retracing Our Steps
3. The Roommate Song
4. Every Time I Cry (Rosebud Cover)
Ned Campbell is a dapper young lad who writes songs about what he's thinking. His distinct voice and vast knowledge of everything music-y makes his music something not to be missed. He is constantly writing music and constantly creating something better. Look for him performing in the community centers of Central New York and in the basements of Fredonia for a treat.
For fans of: Sondre Lerche, The Decemberists, David Bazan, Beirut.
$3 (postage paid)

13. Jim Brown And His Fantastic Brigade Of Thieves Pt. 2
In September 2006, Chris "Bogme" Elsbree was inspired. A muse by the name of Ralph "Bucky" Phillips visited him late one night and he was from then on constantly pursuing his side project, when not spending hours practicing percussion in Mason Hall or playing in the new fredonia "it" band Longitude. At first he had a song. Aptly titled "Bucky." He then decided to record a demo EP.
Fast forward to Winter break of this past year. A song entitled "While We Watch and Wait" popped up on www.myspace.com/bogme and the world was never the same again. Bogme had a hemorrhage of creativity that never quit until it manifested itself into the finished project that is "...And Friends"
For fans of: The Snake The Cross The Crown, William Elliot Whitmore, Murder By Death
$5 (postage paid)
Longitude 4 song demo
1. The Mountain Pass Is Out
2. The Trials and Tribulations of the Grasshopper
3. Destroy The Moo Cows
4. Hip Hop Anonymous
Longitude is made up of four boys who didn't expect to be where they are just a short time ago. They play music because nothing makes them happier, and it shows. Don't call it math rock, because it's much less difficult to listen to than all of that.
For fans of: Braid, Mock Orange, counterfit
$2 (postage paid)
