About Me
William Paredes Gonzalez is a trombonist born in Santa Clara, Cuba. He started his musical education when he five with his father, Guillermo Paredes (percussionist of Orquesta de Musica Moderna in Santa Clara). At the age of twelve he studied at the Olga Alonso School of Vocational Arts in Santa Clara and then went to Havana to study at the National School of Arts where he graduated in 1989. In Havana he played with the Banda Nacional de Concierto, Rojitas Band, and Issac Delgado. He also was a member of the “Team Cuba†All Stars, a band formed with select musicians from the best Timba groups in Cuba at the time.After touring many countries with Issac Delgado, William settled in Madrid, Spain in 1998.
