Marco Zago

My name is Marco and i was born on April, the 10th in 1991 near Venice During the first part of my life i've always been a good child...i went to primary school, i played with other little children and i fancied all little girls!!! At the age of eight, during my first church trip, i met a certain Federico Solazzo (www.myspace.com/federicosolazzo), who, at the epoque 16 years old,played as keyboardist in a Dream Theater Tribute Band named "Time Zero". Everytime he played keyboards in my presence, i was hypnotized by his skills and by the way he interacted with his instrument and with who was listening to him:Calm, polite and unworried about the score or the performance! Amazing! Federico taught me how powerful could be a keyboard in a rock group! At the epoque i knew very well what a piano was... My grandpa had one, and everytime i went to his place i stayed for uncountable hours on the keys, trying to understand the whole mechanic of the instrument. But i've never had the possibility to learn and to know a keyboard, so when Federico spoke to me about keyboards, i was so fascinated that i asked him to teach me piano &keyboard. With Fede, i've learnt how to use a synth, how to program it, how to improvise, and most of all, i learnt my own prog-style that, nowadays is very similar to Jordan Rudess's one Then I grew, and i changed. Now i'm going on with a jazz player, Marco Ponchiroli (www.myspace.com/marcoponchiroli), who is trying to teach me some jazz notions, because, you know, for me the real good musician in not properly the one who can play an amazing number of notes in the shortest time, not only at least....... Is the one who can play different styles & music genders, with no problems.... My project actually on charge are: SISMICA Rock Band: An Italian mix of melodies...all according to a very cool rock stuff...the music is self-producted...i'm the new keyboardist and the band has on charge a very huge range of lives and an album that's gonna exit as soon is possible (www.myspace.com/sismicait) OPERA ATIPICA: My prog metal band...after the clear and huge sucess of 19/04, the band has taken a pause until September...but there's a project betwenn Giulio Abatangelo (guitar) me and Alessandro Arcolin (Drums) to raise up a FUSION project like EGO (Alex Argento) this very summer.. WILDREAM:this band is a demential progressive-fusion-rock band...we haven't a myspace yet but we've composed a very cool song that gave us the possibility to reach the final contest for an ALBUM RECORDING!
