Robot Monster

Rest In Peace Ian Thomas 1980-2007

About Me

Robot Monster consisted of Scott Stevens, Chris Coombs, John Miller and Ian Thomas. The group had originally wanted to call themselves The Hideous Sun Demons but discovered that name already existed, so they decided upon Robot Monster. Bassist John Miller had at one time suggested the band call themselves "Venereal Disease" but was, thankfully voted down.Robot Monster recorded one CD and seemed set on doing great things when on Saturday May 12, 2007 drummer Ian Thomas passed away at a Tyler, TX hospital after a short battle with a rare form of fungal meningitis. The shock over Ian's sudden death has understandably put a halt to future Robot Monster plans. Although the band has not officially broken up it seems unlikely that there will be any future Robot Monster projects. Also check out: www.myspace.com/scottstevensboringsoul
