1978 I was infected by the punk-virus and cut my hair. BASH! Later I started some so-called post-punk and new-wave bands (PRIVATE AZZ w/Klaus Lorenz, Johannes Peter & Lothar Jurkat). Funny with all the girls waiting outside for us… 1982 heading on with synthi-power-pop and german vocals (REVUE PRIVAT w/Johannes Peter, Ollo Mann & Kai Heine) – small touring – and the band died after a horrible alcoholised gig. The girls were there again…oooooh. First home-recording-sessions with my former fav-guitar-player K. Lorenz as THE BEDROOM CHALLENGE – man, they got power (some soundalike-CACTUS-WORLD-NEWS-tracks)! No girls outside waiting – only one: my subsequent (and still!!!!) wife. Pausing for the family-plan. And then an enjoying restart with Kai Heine, Muggli Walter & Hajo Krüger as DOGGIES ON HOLIDAY. We recorded four albums til 2002 and the fifth is going to get lost on different computers. What a shame... 1999 I recorded my first album under the name of THE DISCREET SOUND OF MACHINES. My intension was to put together the static of machinery sounds with harmonies and sounds and words of emotion. With my new songs, here on this page, I will use more organic instruments like a&e-guitars and less synthesized sounds. But still keeping a counterpoint…to the DISCREET SOUND OF MACHINES. Enjoy it.
