XS.iF

The Manchester-born artist, XS.iF as been involved in music for over 10 years, he is a DJ, Artist, Producer and Promoter.XS.iF was brought up on releases ranging from artists such as the Everly Brothers, to The Commodores to Bob Marley. This diversity ensured his fascination in different musical genres continued. He began his DJing career in the City of Nottingham and through his dedication and sheer hard work on the local scene he gradually earned the respect of the musical community of the city. This led to gigs on the Nottingham Trent University Radio Station 107.6 Fly FM, becoming one of the University of Nottingham’s Official Student DJs, DJing at the University of Nottingham’s Graduation Ball at the Nottingham Ice Arena and DJing at gigs featuring the likes of Rahzel, Jazzy Jeff and Cash Money.Even though he started out DJing predominantly hip hop (of all styles), his appreciation for different genres of music have seen him broaden his horizons and he has now diversified into DJing the best of Soul, Funk & Disco, and World Music. His DJing skills have taken him as far a field as to the Far East, where he has DJ’ed in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Kuching (Borneo), Bangkok (Thailand) and Tokyo (Japan).XS.iF was the founder and promoter of the hip hop night in Nottingham called Prescription, co-founder of CULT, and a member of the Doodle crew.He is now back in Manchester and currently in the studio working on his debut album which will feature a number of up and coming UK-based artists and producers. The album is scheduled for release summer 2008.
