Sounds Like: VH4:
Launched in 1994 the VH4 was a milestone in guitar amplification. The head has a powerful 100 Watt section, 4 individual preamps, each with individual equalization and volume/gain controls and is fully midi switchable. At that time that was unique - a head which replaced refridgerator sized racks. Additionally the VH4 has serial and parallel loops and the so called channel inserts to add pedals specifically for each channel, like a analogue chorus just for clean or a compressor for crunch.

The four preamps are: clean, crunch, mega and lead. The clean channel (additional bright switch) has the Diezel-typical HiFi-clean, but with its gain pot is able to reproduce the powerful and warmer Hiwatt territory as well.
The crunch channel (also with bright switch) starts where the clean ends: warm, powerful clean sounds. Variation of the controls (volume, gain) will open the amp to sonic dimensions of semi-crunch and full crunch sounds.
The mega channel is the typical Diezel trademark sound. Nuff said. Try it, love it.
The lead channel starts, where the mega ends: more compression, more smoothness - a singing/screaming lead at its best.

The VH4 is the ultimate sound machine for numerous styles. With its deep section also suitable for many heavier styles, but also the perfect central for Top 40 guitarists looking for the whole spectrum of guitar sounds from yesterday to today. Still a masterpiece - the VH4.

Specifications:

Model: VH4
Output: 90-160 Watt
Channels: 4 indepedent: clean, crunch, mega, lead
Loops: serial, parallel, 4 channel inserts
Equalization: per channel: bass, midlle, treble global: presence, deep
Preamp: 4 individual preamps with gain & vol.
Poweramp: monoaural, accepts EL34, 6550, 6L6, KT88, . . .

VH4S (stereo model):

The VH4S is an all-tube amp with four individual preamps, integrated midi-switcher and . . . . The clean channel is one of the best in the industry, with plenty power and lots of percussive, piano like punch.
The crunch channel is very pleasing for bluesy play or with less gain to resemble a vintage clean tone. Crank the gain up and it becomes a nice broad and open crunch a'la AC/DC.
The third channel (heavy) is simply unbelievable. It has big dynamic ranges, from playful little licks, tasty solo work, to all out metal gain. The tone will not lose definition, though. Even at high gain selections, with humbucker guitars, it speaks straight from the artist's fingers. This channel is easy to play for the intuitive. It cleans up with guitar volume rolled off, and then comes on like a freight train when needed.
Channel four starts where three leaves off. If gain is your thing, then channel four is sure to please you. It compresses more than three, retains definition to a large degree, and just shreds with big bass and strong high end. It is smooth distortion, creamy but authoritive. Loud.

The power stage of the DiezelVH4 is either mono or stereo, depending on which model you choose. VH4 is the mono amp, VH4S has stereo power and stereo effects returns. The circuit accepts 6L6, KT66, KT88, 6550, 5881, and with the flick of a switch also EL34 Power tubes. Biasing is simple and quick. The amp likes 35mA biasing current for matched tube sets. Each tube has a tube fault indicator, and a separate fuse. In case of tube failure, the fuse blows and takes the duet out of the circuit. You will finish your set with two tubes, instead of a dead amp.

The power amp has a master volume, presence and deep controls. There are parallel and serial returns to the power amp. Two sends give you flexibility far beyond any standards. One of the sends is front panel/midi switchable. The parallel return has a mix control on the front panel in the master section. Oh, not to forget the channel inserts for channel one through four. These can be manually or midi controlled. The Diezel Midi system has 16 channels, with 128 program changes.

Specifications:

Model: VH4S
Output: 2 x 50 Watt
Channels: 4 individual: clean, crunch, mega, lead
Loops: each poweramp: serial, parallel 4 channel inserts
Equalization: per channel: bass, middle, treble global each poweramp: presence, deep
Preamp: 4 individual with vol and gain.

Herbert:

Is a 6-power tube guitar amplifier head. It features 3 channels, for 3 distinct different guitar sounds.
It's main difference from the VH4 models are in voicing, circuit design, and general layout. Overall the Herbert has a more familiar, slightly looser feel than the VH4, without losing much of the Diezel signature definition and tightness. Simply put, the amp is a player's amp, forgiving and ready for whatever one's soul and mood desires.

Channel one produces a warm and sparkly clean sound, reminiscent of a piano,. It has immense overhead, whenever a very loud, but crystal clear clean tone is desired.

Channel two is a dual purpose channel, it's two voicings can be selected with a toggle switch. The (-) mode of this channel has dynamics to range from a vintage type clean sound to a broad crunch. The (+) mode of this channel offers similar voice, but much more gain. Both modes provide ample pick sensitivity.

Channel three offers a high gain structure, but again with very good pick sensitivity and easy control. The distortion structure is transparent, but yet percussive and brutal.

Herbert Amplifiers have a selectable mid cut feature, assignable to all channels. This adds tremendously to the versatility of the amp. The mid cut feature has a compensation control called "level". This allows the guitar volume to be compensated in the event of the mid cut being engaged in mid song.Herbert's master section features dual volume controls, and global presence and deep control knobs. Master effects loops are switch-able serial loop, parallel loop, and serial loop.

Specifications:

Model: Herbert

Einstein:

Introduced in 2005, Einstein is a small sized head or combo with four sounds located in two channels. It switches without midi, but comes with two loops and a recording output, that can be hooked directly to your mixing console or PA. It has two switchable master volumes, who expand the sonic abilities further.
The sounds are a sparkling clean, a pretty vintage sounding crunch (goes from SRV to AC/DC) and the typical Diezel mega-crunch of mode three in the first channel. The lead, the unique sound-mode of channel two, is fluid and is able to make you and your guitar either sing or cry, either scream or shout.Einstein is avalable in three different configurations:

- 100 Watt head
- 50 Watt head
- 1x12" 50 Watt combo (with reverb, Celestion V30 speaker)

All models include biasing testpoints for external biasing with a multimeter and a dual footswitch (combo: two footswitches).

Specifications:

Model: Einstein 100 Watt head [50 Watt Combo] (50 Watt head) Output: 100 Watt [50 Watt](50 Watt) Channels: 2 independent channels. channel one with three modes (Clean, Texas, Mega) Loops: Serial and paralel Equalization: each channel treble, middle, bass addtionally presence and deep for the output section.

Schmidt:

Schmidt is a 36 Watt Class A amp with two channels and switchable reverb for both channels.More information, specs, pics - please stay tuned. Peter just has rebuilt Schmidt and will start with the production early 2007.

Lucy:

Being Diezel's first all-tube bass amp, Lucy is still in the development state.Stay tuned for more to come soon . .

Columbus:

Diezels road-ready midi-switcherThere are numerous midi-switchers, but just one Columbus: It starts at "0", hooks via a XLR to Herbert, via standard midi-cable to the VH4 and other amps.

Columbus gets its power via phantom supply off your Herbert or VH4(S). The bright display is visible even on the darkest stages - and it is built like all Diezel equipment: like a tank.

Columbus is not only the perfect comrade for your Diezel head, but also the central switching unit of more complex rigs: via XLR or midi into the Diezel head - from its midi-thru into whatever fits your needs. Columbus switches either in Omni-Mode or in any (selectable) channel between 1 and 16.

Columbus ships also with an external power-supply (voltages from 90-240 V AC) and can be your entrance to the Diezel world if you should still safe for a Herbert head and you're already looking for a road-ready midi-switcher.
