Our culture is broken. Every time WE turn on our televisions, turn up our radios, even look out our windows, all that WE can see is tragedy. Our societys continued worship of individualism is changing US from an entity of power and persuasion to nothing more than millions of individuals, unwilling to talk or even look each other in the eye. WE have been engrained with the need to go farther and get more than those at either side of us, all the while being careful never to learn their name. How can WE change our society for the better if WE are too afraid to even talk about what changes need to be made, or how to facilitate them? WE are the Living Room and we want to change. Our purpose is to meet the needs of the people in which we come in contact with, building a community out of those disconnected. When we are a community, we are able to seek truth together rather than alone, thus making truth truly objective. The first step is expression. We give a place to the community where they can express themselves through the visual and performing arts. Nothing can bring to the forefront questions of reality more than the creation of those willing to express their questions, beliefs, and experiences through the arts. That is why the arts are special; they can bring people together, spark discussion, and create community. This place was opened by a bunch of Jesus followers for just this reason. If you want to talk more about change, or music, or anything come visit us. Please support this venue. We love you and God bless. IF YOU WANT TO BOOK A SHOW, READ THE BLOG.
