In early 2005, Randy Gurtler was asked to write a song. When Randy began to write that song, ment for a friends wedding, many followed with it. This gave birth to 2nd Grade Hi Five and a hand full of self recorded demo's. The demo's were well received by friends as well as online. Performances at house parties and opening spots in small venues began to full the fire, and it wasn't long before he began to see label attention. Knowing his heart belonged to his band "In The Making," 2nd Grade Hi Five was set aside. Then . . . . late in October of 2006, ITM split. Picking up where he left off, 2GH5 was taken on full force. Through out 2007 Randy was performing, anwhere from parking lots to coffee shop's and venues, across AZ and throughout the southwestern U.S. After many delay's He finally released his debut disc, "Start This Over e.p. in July of 2007." The disc was a local favorite containing new material, as well as poslished studio versions of original demo's. Randy took some time off early in 2008 to record. The following may, "Audio Photography e.p." was released. It was worth the short wait, AP featured a stronger, brighter 2GH5. After 2 e.p.'s and many great performances, 2nd Grade Hi Five is still going strong. Be sure to catch a show throughout AZ, in 2008!
