This MySpace page is dedicated to (spreading the word on) NEEL JANI (view photos HERE , HERE and HERE !), the most promising Swiss open wheel racer since 1970's icons Jo Siffert and Clay Regazzoni. After earning his stripes in Go-Karts starting in 1996 at age 12 and making his way through various other Junior racing series as a teenager, Neel got his first taste of the big leagues in 2003 when he made his virgin Formula One test drive for the Swiss Sauber Petronas team. The following year he also tested for newly formed Red Bull Racing. In 2006, he served as test and Friday driver (third driver) for the Scuderia Toro Rosso F1 team. His strong desire to race competitively rather than taking a back seat in F1 led to Neel pulling up stakes and making the move to Champ Car, America's premier open wheel racing series with a strong international flavor. Neel signed with PKV Racing and piloted the Red Bull-Gulfstream PKV Racing Cosworth /DP01/Bridgestone machine during the 2007 season, eventually finishing 9th in the championship. In January of 2008, Neel announced that he would no longer race in Champ Car and focus his energies on A1GP racing instead. On May 4, Neel secured the biggest success of his multi-tiered career by winning the A1GP World Championship with Team Switzerland at Brands Hatch, UK.
