About Me

I love to travel, good thing for me as I have spent my fair share doing just that! I'm not much of a "tourist" as it were as I prefer when I am in a "new" place/city/country to find my own way and enjoy the "local" scene. Cities/places I would like to visit which I have not yet been able to include Prague, Buenos Aires & Malta. Among my favorite cities I must include Dresden, Milan, Chicago, Toronto, Vancouver, Acapulco, Sydney & Paris. I work hard and am fortunate to have been able to live my dreams & passion. I very much enjoy a "good show" and include The Lion King (Broadway)and some of the Cirque du' Soile not to mention Phantom of the Opera, shows among my favorites. I love going to restaurants (Again a good thing for me otherwise I might starve!)I believe in the "American Dream" and actually think Norman Rockwell was onto something! I couldn't help but to wonder if the real Mona Lisa actually hangs in the Louvre. I like a great cigar outside by the fire & under the stars. I have been involved in car racing since 1979 when I began my driving career which "lasted" 22 years! I had my "fair share" of good days behind the wheel scoring wins in 4 different decades and "topping off" my driving career with a great overall win at the 2001 Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona driving for Corvette Racing! I have raced world wide at such places as Indy 500, 24 Hours of Le Mans, 24 Hours at Daytona as well as racing several seasons "down under" in New Zealand & Australia. Since my "retirement" from driving I have served as the Race Director for CART / Champ Car, served as the United States representative on the FIA Circuits Commission, all of which has led me to designing race tracks both temporary and permanent street and road courses and circuits. I also manage events for Temporary Street Course Events most recently Vegas Grand Prix & San Jose Grand Prix. (I designed both circuits) I am currently working on 2009 projects.
