I started playing keyboards from about the age of 7.
I joined my first band when I was 21. This was a short-lived venture playing rock covers at local pubs & family events. I stayed away from bands for a long period after that, quite content in playing keyboards for my own amusement.
This all changed however when I met Neil Smallman (Pure Purple), through selling one of my keyboards in the small ads. We became good friends and it wasn't long before he suggested I hook up with a newly-formed band playing rock covers. I got the job and brought my Dad out of retirement to play bass guitar with us. This band became "Ignite", and despite numerous line-up changes, was a succesful band for many years.
Meanwhile, Neil had auditioned with a Gary Moore tribute called "Moore Or Less". He phoned to tell me how awesome these guys were but there was too much keyboard work for just 1 player...would I be interested? I auditioned with them and was simply blown away - I HAD to be in this band! And so it was, for about 4 years until the band decided to go their seperate ways.
Myself, John & Gary from "Moore Or Less", and Steve (guitarist from YYZ & Snakebite)then decided to have a go at a Whitesnake tribute. We completed the line-up with Carl on lead vocals... and created the best Whitesnake tribute in the country!
